Get It In Writing: Letter of Resignation – Term Clerks

POSTMASTERS!

Our Term Clerks are important and a valued resource. If a Term in your office decides that they no longer need or want to work for Canada Post in that position, they need to submit a letter of resignation to the Corporation. If they don’t, that position lingers and a new Term posting will not be created. That letter of resignation needs to be submitted to the LAS/LAM (by themselves or by you) so that the position can be relinquished and then posted ASAP. Make sure to FOLLOW-UP IN WRITING with your LAS/LAM that they did indeed receive the letter. All offices are entitled to have relief clerks and, let’s face it, they are sometimes hard to keep, so if a Term decides to move on we need to make sure that the hiring process can be as efficient as possible to get that position back into the office.

Always GET IT IN WRITING!
